Rebecca Wilson has been a proud Junior League of Seattle member since 2007, and an enthusiastic fundraiser since she sold her first box of Girl Scout cookies at the age of 6. Rebecca’s professional and community work focus on her passion for furthering education, youth development and healthy communities. Professionally, Rebecca is the Director of Advancement at the K-5 independent school in Seattle. She also serves as an independent education consultant for K-12 families. Prior to her current role, Rebecca spent time as the Executive Director of a foundation and many years in educational leadership. A Washington native, Rebecca holds a B.A. in Psychology and Communication from Western Washington University, a Master’s Certificate in Organizational Change and Leadership from Hawaii Pacific University and a Master’s of Education Degree in Educational Policy and Leadership from the University of Texas at Arlington. She is also an alumnus of the Leadership Tomorrow Seattle program. Rebecca’s civic involvement mirrors her professional work. She currently serves as President of the Burke Museum Association Board of Directors, President and Founder of the Seattle Children’s Color Me Happy Guild, member and past board chair of the University Family YMCA Board of Managers and member of the Sanctuary Art Center board of directors. Rebecca has also held volunteer leadership roles with The Ruby Room, YMCA of the USA, Seattle Works, Girls on the Run and the Seattle Center Advisory Commission.
In her recreational time, Rebecca enjoys running, golf, tennis, hanging out with her adorable nephew Arlo, and cheering on the Seahawks and Mariners.
