Marlene Fallquist was the recipient Dorothy Stimson Bullitt Community Service Award for the 202-2021 League year.
The League is honored to recognize Marlene for her extensive history of impactful volunteer service. In addition to her leadership within the Junior League of Seattle as Community Vice President, Marlene has made significant contributions to education and social services organizations as a board and committee member. Having begun her volunteer career within her children’s schools, Marlene assumed the role of PTA president and legislative chairperson before holding leadership positions with Mercer Island Youth and Family Services and her church.
In addition to supporting the K-12 education system, Marlene was an active volunteer for her alma mater Washington State University, where she served on the alumni Board of Directors for nine years before becoming President. Her other volunteer positions for WSU included service as chair of the Leadership Awards committee, co-chair of the WSU Centennial Lecturer Series, and member of the WSU legislative network and WSU Foundation recognition committees.
