Provisional Member Obligations

  1. Administration
    1. A Provisional member shall pay dues and the Provisional Course fee to the Junior League of Seattle by the deadline set forth in the Provisional Contract;
    2. A Provisional member who has not paid her dues and Provisional Course fee, or made other arrangements with the Finance Vice President by the deadline date, shall be considered as having declined membership.
  2. General Meetings
    1. A Provisional member shall attend four General Meetings/Accredited Trainings.
  3. Provisional Course
    1. A Provisional member shall attend all required Provisional Course sessions and shall participate in a Provisional Project or serve on a designated League committee;
  4. Attendance at the Provisional Retreat is mandatory;
    1. Exceptions to the requirements may be made at the discretion of the Provisional Committee upon advance consultation with the Provisional Advisor.
  5. A Provisional member failing to fulfill the Provisional obligations listed above shall be referred to the Provisional Chairman. The Provisional Chairman shall send a letter informing the Provisional that she has 15 days in which to sign a contract with the Provisional Chairman for the completion of her Provisional member obligations, or be removed from membership by Executive Committee action duly ratified by a two-thirds vote of the Board of Directors (Bylaws 4.4(.2)). A Provisional removed may not be reinstated.
