An Active member shall:
- Pay dues to the Junior League of Seattle each fiscal year as specified in Standing Rule III.B.1.a;
- Participate in the Junior League fundraising efforts;
- Do volunteer service satisfactory to the Membership Services Committee, have an annual Placement interview while a 1st year Active, 2nd year Active, 1st year Active Transfer, on Probation, or by request, and comply with Placement Policies (Standing Rule III.B.2);
- Fulfill General Meeting/Accredited Training requirements (Standing Rule II.A);
- A member in good standing is one who has completed the membership obligations listed above. Failure to complete any one of the obligations will cause a member to be placed on probation. A member on probation loses the following privileges of membership:
- the right to hold a nominated position;
- the right to Placement prioritization;
- the right to transfer to another League;
- the right to become a Sustaining Member;
- An Active member who is being placed on probation will be notified by the Membership Vice President and the Membership Services Director by letter;
The Probation classification shall take effect on June 1st and shall continue through May 31st of the following year or until obligations are met. A member not fulfilling her probationary obligations by May 31st will be removed from membership. A member who has been removed may not be reinstated.
